I haven’t shot this gun yet but assume that it was test fired at the factory. I didn’t realize that it’s made in China but it’s well made. It has a bolt hold-open button near the trigger which is an improvement over a standard AK. It’s an enlarged AK basically. I’m not sure if the buttstock and pistol grip are standard AK sizes or are specific to this particular gun. They are both made of plastic. I was pleasantly surprised that the barrel uses standard replaceable Remington choke tubes. I installed a rifled choke tube to be able to fire rifled slugs and sabot shells. I purchased several 10-round round magazines for it. It comes with (2) 5-round magazines. There’s a choke tube installed in the barrel but the owners manual doesn’t say what kind of choke tube it is. I’m assuming that it’s a “cylinder” size choke tube but I’m not sure. Siaga and JTS magazines both work in the gun. The gun has an adjustable gas system to adjust depending on the type of shells you’re firing. It can chamber either 2 3/4” or 3” shells. I’m not sure if it works with shorter shells. I’ll have to test that. I installed an unissued Polish AK-47 sling on it. Standard AK slings work well. The sling swivel on the buttstock and the front sling mount are standard AK styles. It looks like the metal is blued but there are some plastic parts on it like around the magazine well. The safety is a standard AK style. The rear sight is recalibrated from a standard AK-47. The numbers correspond to distances in meters. The owners manual explains what those are but it’s not very straightforward. With a shotgun though it’s pretty relative depending on the shells you’re using. Overall, I’m really happy with this gun. It should be very reliable, it’s versatile, and the price is really good. It’s well made.

I’ve shot 100 rounds 00 buckshot 1350 FPS and low recoil 1200 FPS at gas setting 2 with no issues, both 2 3/4 shells. I should probably experiment more with the settings with lower velocity ammo and think that may be why people have jamming. Also the gun did need some oiling before I took it out to the range. So far I’m definitely happy with the operation of it, ton of fun to shoot!!

The M12AK Shotgun came in great shape, very sturdy, no scratches or dents. Cleaned the oil on it and took it to range and feed 25 shells through it! no jams and cycled well! Love the magazines, will be purchasing a SAIGA drum for it as well! Would buy another variant again from ukrguns! Shipping was fast to FFL and transaction was pleasant!

I just want to focus on the quality of the build of this weapon. It is not top quality, but it is very well built for the price. The frame is made of thick stamped steel and most the parts are machined steel/aluminum. The bolt itself appears to be forged. The only cast parts are the gas block and the front sight/trunion along with the stock insert. That’s really it as far as cast parts. I do want to point put they were cast pretty well though. And I seriously doubt the amount of gas directed into the gas block will crack from failure short of outright abuse and improper ammo. I have no reason to doubt that this gun would last a lifetime with proper care. It is rock solid and truly a great shotgun. It is intimidating. Heavy and rugged. Very solid purchase and a reliable weapon.

Purchased this shotgun when it was 329.00, it was a real steal! My order arrived in about 3 days at my FFL, carefully packaged and although it came in a cardboard box, it was packaged inside molded foam, very secure. Best of all it came with 2 five round magazines and a 10 round magazine. When I brought it home I broke it down, cleaned it, inspected it and lubed it up again. Took it out the following day and shot about 100 Federal 2 3/4 7 1/2 shot target shells. Basically the cheapest stuff you can find, it ran flawlessly. Kept the gas block in the 3 (most open) setting, I’ve seen videos where the 2 setting works but I wanted to make sure I didn’t have any issues since the shotgun had not been broken in. Will try shooting the rest of my cheap stuff on the #2 setting next time I’m out in the range. Loading the magazines is a little slower than loading a tube fed shotgun, at least it was for me but this is my first magazine feed shotgun so after some practice it might be easier. However, the convenience and speed of reloading by just changing magazines is great. I couldn’t stop myself from mag dumping! I would recommend this shotgun without reservation.

I am highly disappointed in this gun. My first 200 rounds of cheap bird shot did not eject 1 round properly. Federal 1200 FPS 6 shot and Estate 1200 FPS 6 shot. I had the gas setting on 3 the lowest number. I called JTS and they said use 1250 FPS or higher velocity shells and set the gas setting on 3. . The next 100 shells of 1325 FPS Federal Super X produced similar results but it did start ejecting about half the shells. Stovepipe after stovepipe gets very frustrating. You have to remove the magazine to clear two shells every time it stovepipes. Yes I held it against my shoulder. Forget about shooting it from the hip, as it won’t eject the shells. I have wanted a clip or magazine fed shotgun forever. I would not buy this gun again. I would not trust my life on the reliability of this gun. I bought it for home defense and I like to go shooting a lot. I now have 525 shells thru it in three weeks and over half did not eject. The 1325 FPS Winchester Super X which is all I use now still aren’t reliable enough for home defense but all i could find. Oh wait 15 seconds while I clear the jam as I and my family get shot ! The only shells I got to cycle were 1400 FPS Federal Upland #6 steel shot. I only could find one box to try though. If you get 3 inch high velocity shells maybe it will eject them. I clean it spotless inside and out and use synthetic Hoppes gun oil if you are wondering. Maybe I got one that didn’t get inspected for quality control? The machining and casting of parts inside looks substandard to me. I will find a clip or magazine fed shotgun that IS RELIABLE. I have put over 2500 shells of all types thru my old Benelli M1 with no failures to eject, not one. Am I expecting too much for a $569 Chinese shotgun? There has to be a removable magazine shotgun that will shoot every type shell without failing to eject again and again and again. I spent way more time clearing jammed shell than I have shooting it.

I bought this JTS M12AKT1 semi-automatic AK shotgun in August of 2020 I didn’t get to fire it until November of 2020 but when I did it was amazing, it fired without any problems what so ever I truly love this gun. As shotguns go it has a kick to it but I had no problems firing it at the range I go to. It’s an amazing gun very much worth the money I paid for it…would not mind having another one. If you’re looking for a good dependable semi-auto shotgun this is it. It comes with two 5 round magazines, I purchased two 10 round magazines to go with it.

I absolutely am pleased with this purchase. While the price-point didn’t thrill me it was my fault for waiting too long to decide and buy. I received my JTS in a timely manner. After a breakdown and cleaning it was ready to go. Started it out on 2 1/2 #8’s with it choked at 1 and it was flawless. Choked up to 2 and ran 3″ for 25 rounds, no problems. Will have this on standby for varmint control and home defense with all the confidence it is more than up to the task.
