Received this quickly, and did take it to the range this past weekend. Two things, I overpaid for this 380, but, wanted it to arrive quickly — it’s for a daughter. I saw one advertised for almost $100 LESS on another site.., but it had already sold out. I would suggest waiting another month or so for the price to get down to a more realistic $350-$375-ish range.
First off this thing is TINY! Easily a pocket-carry piece. It’s extremely light and in my opinion far too much plastic, all rails are polymer and that concerns me more than a bit. The take-down pin is not sturdy either, and it feels like it’s going to snap-off every time you try to remove it! The trigger-safety is the only safety — and for me, I’d prefer that a thumb actuated safety be provided, especially because this thing is a pocket-carry type of gun. I immediately installed the ‘pinkie” magazine extension that is included. The included pocket holster is a lack-luster joke.
Here’s a real gripe that’s is spreading across the industry now — only ONE magazine is included!! That’s pure BS as far as I’m concerned! I also purchased a couple factory extended capacity mags. Again, over-priced. Henceforth I would advise all gun-buyers to ignore any new guns that do not come with at least 2 or even three magazines, period! It’s worse than price gouging to me… and even worse yet when both are done to customers. I’m personally fed up with over-priced ammo, over-priced guns, and being shorted on accessories that should be included…, and the excuses for it are BS too!
Reliability? I had absolutely no failures — it was 100% reliable, but, given that the thing is literally all plastic save for the barrel, and striker action, I question it’s long term dependability — for me, it is not something I’d take to too many long practice sessions. It just feels weak — like a toy gun — in the sense that you just know something is going to break on it.
The trigger is okay, not something to brag or complain about.. after all this is a 100% short range self-defense pocket gun.
But, it does open up a new trend in higher capacity 380’s and surely other major companies will follow. I just hope that when they do, they make a gun with more steel and a sturdier feel to them.

Everything about this gun is perfect. Size, capacity, Weight! The only thing I can complain about would be the price. The price at ukrguns wasn’t nearly the best! They had the same price as many other dealers. Found it on several other sights for as much as 40 and 50 Dollars cheaper, so shop around before you make that perches!

This is my 4th LCP and it’s pretty darn near the perfect pocket pistol. Runs well, easy to conceal and the tritium sight is a nice addition . I couldn’t ask for anything more from Ruger. And pleased with ukrguns as usual.

Not real impressed with the firearm. Very inaccurate. I also had slide issues. So far this gun has been sent back 3 times. The accuracy issue still exists. I’ve come to the conclusion that this issue is not fixable. I will say that Ruger customer service is excellent. Best I’ve ever had as a gun owner. They seem very concerned about my issues but they can’t seem to resolve them. The gun gets 1 star and customer service gets 5 stars. I myself cannot recommend the LCP MAX 380. Sorry Ruger!

Firearm will have to go back to Ruger. Went through problem with 12 round magazine not locking slide back. Also, the follower falls out of the top. Ruger admitted this affected a whole batch of magazines and said they will send me a replacement. Shooting it today I had to shut down do to the10 rd magazine falling out. It had got to where it was falling out every 2-3 rounds fired. No FTFs//FTEs. This is not intended to downgrade ukrguns excellent C/S, which I rate a 5/5.

I have both the LCP (original) and the LCP II but this new LCP MAX is a great improvement. Too bad Ruger only finds it in their heart to give one (1) magazine with the pistol. Other than that I am impressed with the MAX and with ukrguns fast delivery. 12+1 for the .380 is a better deal in my books than the 7+1 for the other LCP platforms. Slight grip width is not noticeable in my books for concealed carry.

My third Ruger LCP and likely the best. I have the easy rack 22, the LCP2, and now the LCP Max. These are the firearms are so small and compact that you carry them in situations where you’d leave another firearm home in the safe. Ran great out of the box.. the sights are excellent and felt recoil on this one is much better than my LCP2. As always, the price from ukrguns was fair and the purchase and delivery to my FFL flawless. I can’t say how much I appreciate ukrguns.

This is another great pistol by Ruger if you are a current owner of the LCP or LCP II this is a must upgrade almost the same size BUT packs a punch of 10+1 or 12+1 very accurate very dependable very easy to conceal
You should know that these pistols are prone to rust FAST if you carry in your pocket and you’re sweaty you MUST put some kind of treatment on it to keep the rust from “browning”up your slide
I use The green paste that smells like mint if you know what I mean it works excellent
but there’s many other brands out there that work do it immediately because once it starts to rust it’s hard to fight it
that being said it’s an amazing little pistol
I paid a little high on this one $449.00 on ukrguns which is rare I usually save big on ukrguns
but they had it in stock when no one else did
And with team ukrguns and layaway it was a no-brainer for me
ukrguns was awesome very dependable
and super fast shipment to my FFL

I purchased this LCP-Max about six months ago. It came from Ruger with a pocket holster included. I cannot think of any negatives about it. Maybe the fact that you only get one 10 round mag with it. Since buying the gun I purchased Two 12 Round mags for it. It is super easy to field strip and reassemble with a paper clip or a small screwdriver. I must say, that after firing several hundred rounds, it has performed perfectly with no failures of any kind. It is a very concealable pistol when carried in a front pocket. ukrguns shipped the gun the next day after I ordered it. I had the gun in my hand in 3 days. I have no buyers remorse, and would buy it again. Great job as usual ukrguns, Thank you.

Very happy with my purchase of this Ruger. I ordered it without physically handling one of these prior to purchase. I was very surprised when I picked this up at my FFL dealer. Exactly what I was looking for, a very small auto that can be easily concealed in a pocket when your down to shorts and T-shirt. Accuracy, a good shooting auto from 10 yds. Better than I expected from such a small frame. With the mag extender or the 12 rd mag, easily fits all the fingers.

I is a great little pocket pistol, it has Ruger reliability and I have had no failure to eject or load failures after 200 plus rounds of both hp and fmj ammo. My only issues is it is a small grip for my large hands and it tends to pinch my finger, but my wife found it prefect for her so she is now its owner. Like all Ruger products it has been an excellent buy.

Great handgun, great service with fast shipping and great price. The LCP Max slide racks easier than the original LCP. It fits the hand better and felt recoil is less than the original LCP. Take down is easier too because you don’t have to move the slide back to remove the take down pin for disassembly. As an added bonus it holds more ammo. This little pocket gun is a gem.

Mmmm Could have been great but sloppy build quality. Let me prefice this by saying it is super reliable, and if you handle the fire arm it’s counter intuitive. Slide rattles like marbles in a jar. Mags rattle especially extended(ones). Slide holds open 50% of the time. Ruger says rattles slide, mag and mag not holding open etc all normal if no malfunctions. It’s like they took the lcp2 and pried it open to fit a larger mag. The front site is awesome. The cerations are great. Finish sucks. Extended mag followers can pop out. If you’re not attention to detail none of it may bother you. I think it’s a great idea mass produced with no attention to detail. Kind of like they took the initial design and ran with it instead of refining it and making it a nice piece. I’m disappointed but it does go bang.

Got my .380 LCP Max 3 days ago. As usual, Buds is easy to work with and very quick on delivery. Great little pocket pistol, easy to carry and conceal. Took it out the day after I got it and put 250+ rounds through it in less than an hour. Got it smokin’ hot and it never missed a beat. It ate everything I put through it. I use G9 (external hollow point) ammo for regular carry. If you don’t know what it is, look for G9 ammo reviews on youtube. It’s pricey but great stuff!!!

First visit to the range the pistol would jam at least one round every magazine and the slide would not lock open upon firing last round. Upon a simple investigation of the pistol. I realized the slide was a little to easy to rack. A quick phone call to ruger explaining the problem produced an immediate shipping of a recoil spring assembly. Upon receipt and installation of said parts another trip to the range the pistol was once again test fired for function. Now everything works perfectly. Its my daily carry

Just received this Ruger 380 LCP MAX. Just ran 100 rounds through it no problems. A much improved design over the LCP II. I have to give this a 5 star due to the increase mag, feel and shooting ability. Nailed the target perfectly with this guy. It does suck that they only give you one mag, but that’s what Ruger does. Thanks to ukrguns for having this available and for always having the latest greatest items availble to the public. 10 stars to ukrguns. This is a great gun wtih 10 rounds of 380. They also make a 12 round Mag. Glad I purchased this one..

Just when you thought it couldn’t be done Ruger once again does it. A few years ago I purchased the Ruger LCP 2 in .22 LR because of it’s excellent conceal ability, quality, magazine capacity( I know, I know, 22 LR is not the most reliable cartridge when it comes to going bang with rim fire priming) and price.
When they came out this year with their new LCP Max it didn’t take a rocket scientist to see that Ruger had once again captured the market on not only one of the most concealable micro pocket pistols but one with a 10 + 1 cartridge capacity without sacrificing it’s pocket conceal ability. For me, this is the perfect, most comfortable pocket pistol for hot weather carry. The reliability of center fire priming in 380 ACP with a 9mm projectile and increased ammo capacity made it the perfect replacement for my LCP 2 based on the increased energy of the 380 cartridge, the more reliable center fire priming and very upgraded sights which included a Tritium front sight and better designed rear sight. Both can be replaced easily by the user if desired as neither are integral to the slide but totally interchangeable with some other dove tailed slide in sights. I am very pleased with the Ruger LCP MAX and recommend it to anyone who is looking for maximum concealment, reliability and self defense in a pocket pistol with a usable superior sighting system.
