The SUB-2000 is a pistol-caliber carbine manufactured by Kel-Tec CNC Industries of Cocoa, Florida. The rifle is a blowback operated, semi-automatic firearm with its operating spring located in the tubular stock. It is chambered in a pistol caliber (9mm), however offers ballistic advantages and accuracy at distance due to the 16″ barrel. The SUB-2000 accepts standard Glock magazines, therefore can be configured in any number of magazine capacities. It is a very light platform at only 4.25 lbs, and the folding stock makes transport simple.

I bought one of these with the Glock 9mm clip. What is so practical about this weapon are several features: 1) it fits quite nicely in a standard brief case for easy transport around town; 2) the available 33 round 9mm Glock clips fit very nicely; the same clip that will fit in my Glock 26; 3) the rifle has practically NO recoil- smooth, rapid fire action that is truly fun to fire on the range; 4) with the polymer grip and handle, plus the spring bolt action stock, this is one very simple [“less is more”] reliable firearm that will fullfil several funtions with all the fun! For the price: it’s a good deal!!!

I have not fired it yet. First impressions, very light and easy to transport, backpack ect. The gun is primarily polymer and will not blow you away with fit and finish ( cost under $500 ) but the open and close action is solid and just a cool gun to own. Being 9mm and compatible with glock magazines just makes it very appealing. Had I seen or fired it before buying it. I would have just because its a folding carbine. Its a cool gun.

Best purchase so far. Ran nearly 200 rounds of MagTech 9mm FMJ ammo though the gun. No failure to feeds, shoots straight, and very nice and compact gun. A few downsides to this gun, is its very small, and if you are a big statured person. This gun is not for you, another downside for mine, was out of the box the charging handle was extremely stiff. Although problem soon solved itself when putting rounds through the gun. Bonus, got to love that it takes Glock 17 magazines. Planning to add M-CARBO parts to the rifle, as they have about everything you would want for this gun. Overall great gun, would recommend if you are looking for a compact 9mm rifle.

This is a solid PCC. However, some things about it can be better. I highly recommend to visit MCARBO online after you purchase. They make stronger inner and external parts for this firearm. Even Kel Tec stands by them as they are willing to install the parts. The cheek tube cover is a big plus. This firearm is fun to shoot and has been super accurate. I trust it. Definitely worth it to invest in. Once you install all MCARBO parts, this firearm is unstoppable.

i consider myself lucky to be able to buy the last one in stock at 479 price point..i gave it a complete overhaul with a red dot a side mount stainless feed ramp steel screws aluminum trigger and release and a foregrip light laser combo ..but have yet to fire because ammo is like gold..i also got 2 60 round drums from buds too ..let me tell you this thing looks awesome..i may go this weekend and shoot off a drum ..if you are lucky enough to get one remember this carbine has a lot of plastic parts mainly trigger and feed ramp are plastic..still a great piece stock.

Great gun. I purchased this as a fun / plinking gun and (if it proves reliable) for self-defense in the home. It worked flawlessly on the first trip to the range – firing Remington 115 gr round nose and Federal Train & Protect 115gr VHP. Produced acceptable groups using the iron sights – but I really need to press my cheek hard against the buffer; I feel this reduces my repeatability and accuracy.
I purchased a Sig Sauer Romeo 5 red dot sight for the weapon – but now I’m looking for a good way to mount it and still be able to fold the rifle. But that, for me, is half of the fun.

First off this firearm is more utility than precision so don%u2019t let that surprise you. The sights leave much to be desired. But after putting a 45 deg offset with an RMR on the rail it%u2019s much better. It%u2019s super nice that it fits in the main compartment of my laptop bag. I definitely wish the trigger wasn%u2019t the way it is… The take up is enormous but the recoil is what you might expect from a 9mm.
In the first 15 rounds I put through it there was a failure to fire. Only one though and then after that it never had a problem. After 1,000 rounds and putting the RMR on it, not really anything to complain about beyond the trigger.
Takedown and cleaning might be a problem for some people. For the most part everything comes out of the tube that houses the recoil spring and stock. Can be tricky. But if you%u2019re like me and like the process of cleaning it%u2019s not bad.

I am a first time buyer. After researching firearms combined with my concerns I chose the Sub2K. The ability to store this weapon easily into a backpack in the folded configuration down to 16” in length was a feature that appealed to me. It takes less than five seconds to have it ready in the firing position. I wanted the benefit of a rifle but with the lighter feel of a hand gun. Also the compatibility of the ammunition (9mm in my case) in the event of future purchases was another feature I liked. The KelTec feels comfortable to hold. The price was reasonable leaving room to make personal upgrades. I plan on purchasing a red dot to make aiming a little easier as you do need to press your face in close to line up targeting. All in all I am very pleased and look forward to getting more comfortable with it. ukrguns made the purchase seamless and I will use them in the future.

I appreciate the fact that you were willing to ship me the firearm w/o the evil 17-round (Colorado) magazine. Some vendors will not even ship the firearm if it will accept a high-capacity magazine. That is a ridiculous policy. It is the magazine that is banned, not the rifle.

This Kel-Tec is awesome. Yes you have to do some slight modifications and upgrades.
But it’s very accurate and will shoot steel case ammo no problem.

I really really wanted one of these for a long time. When it arrived I was so excited! Unfortunately because I am a left handed shooter this gun peppers my face when firing. I have been shooting right handed guns all my life and have experienced this in the past with certain platforms. I would say this one is the worst in that regard. Anyone who has fired right handed guns as a left handed shooter can attest to this while shooting some semi automatic rifle platforms. The way this gun is designed it’s not left handed friendly. If you are left handed take this into consideration before buying. Unless you plan on wearing a face covering while firing I would not recommend to left handed shooters.

Compact and reliable, accuracy is a bonus as it easily keeps all 33 rounds in 8 inch target as far as I can see the target. Close to 2500 rounds through gun and still chugging along. Nothing fancy thats for sure but cheap, reliable and a potential ace in the hole while I am traveling. “Truck gun” seems to be what role this gun fills perfectly. No, I dont leave a gun in the truck overnight but it could be hidden quite easily if need be. Now if they would come out with 10 mm version I could give this to my daughter and start all over breaking in a new rifle. Excellent service from ukrguns I recommend them to folks all the time.

This thing is so cool. It’s unlike anything else i own. its not the best pcc. almost all plastic. kicks pretty hard for a 9mm. sights are pretty low, you need to get high up on your cheek weld to get a good sight picture. i wish it would take 15rd mags since i got like a ton of ’em. wish the rear sight was more ghost ring size, its kinda in the middle not quite peep and not a ghost ring either. charging the thing is pretty hard, but you just gotta pull it like you gotta pair. but anyhow….. this thing is just cool. a little training and you could get used to all of that. i think every household should have at least one, well not every house but you get it. the folding feature is what really sells this thing. completely safe when folded and backpack size, like small backpack and no one would know either. unfold, slap in a 17rd or more mag, slam the charging handle like a boss, and get to work!

I got my Kel-Tec Sub2K Rifle 9mm Glock 17 Mag 17+1, Model: SUB2K9GLK17. Even though the stock picture shows the GEN 1 model, I received the Gen 2 Model I was hoping for. This is an awesome rifle even without aftermarket mods. The magazines drop freely. After dry firing several times the trigger is getting smoother and should be better after a range session. I can’t wait to get to shoot steel. I highly recommend buying one when available. 😉

Really neat gun this is. It folds up really small I can easily throw it under the back seat of my truck or even in the back seat pocket. It’s actually pretty accurate with the stock iron sights at 50 yards. Definitely adds a little punch to those 9mm rounds over a handgun. Can’t beat it for $400, great little PCC.
