I wasn’t sure what to expect from this rifle since it is ONLY a Hi-Point. Well, after 4 months of shooting it every weekend I couldn’t be happier. This gun is an excellent value. It outshoots my buddy’s very expensive Beretta every time. He even wants one now. Takes cheap or expensive ammo without a single jam. Well worth the $290 I spent on it.

Wow! ukrguns was great as usual. This carbine is awesome and the 20 round mags work flawlessly. I have 400 rounds through this gun and have had zero malfunctions. Everyone loves shooting it. I did upgrade the charging handle which is awesome. I was also going to put a red dot on it but I love the iron sights so much. When at the range everyone comes over to ask about it…like they are curious about it but would never buy a Hi-point. Just buy the gun, you will not regret it.

Have had my High Point 9mm carbine for several months now. Good condition, everything working properly. Totally fun to shoot. Amazingly accurate. Very tight groupings at ten meters. Also great at 20 meters, all with the stock sights. Can’t wait to shoot it outdoors and extend the range. Still a few FTF and FTE, but I’ve only put a couple hundred rounds through. Not worried about. It will loosen up and run fine. My son and I both love plinking with this thing. Too fun!

Checked a lot of reviews and options for this rifle before ordering. I think I made a good decision. Right out of the box it shot very well. I tried both brass and steel casing. some cheaper than others and never missed a beat in both 10 rd and 2 rd mags. This is one fun gun to take to the range. i opted for this model because of the 2 20 rd redball mags and forward grip.

A bargain by any measure. To be able to shoot 9 mm. in a carbine at a cheaper price than .22 LR makes it even more fun. Gun functions flawlessly. No hangups, no failure to eject nor go into battery. All this at an extremely reasonable price approximately 1/4 of that for other carbines. If you are looking for a “fun gun” that is also accurate, this is your best choice.

People were telling me that I was a fool for buying this carbine and I almost listened to them. I received it and gave a good look over. After handling it believe it or not it was fantastic!! I could tell this was a good piece and is going to be very fun at the range. I am impressed not so much for Hi Points hand guns, but as far as the carbine goes…satisfied. Great Value and impressive performance. Took it to the range the first day and it held very tight patterns and was spot on out of the box. Put about 200 rounds of various ammo and had no issues. The high capacity 20 round magazines are awesome. The gun feels good with a few minor details like the chamber bolt which is positioned on the left side, this seems awkward but is functional. I Havent tried to open it up and clean it yet, but looks like it might be time consuming to get into. Overall i really like how this gun shoots and would recommend.

First ever purchase of a Hi Point firearm. This thing Rocks! Are you kidding, two 20 and and one 10 and mag. Front detachable grip, sling and awesome iron sights. This thing is shooting 1″ groups at 30 yards out of the box. And all for right at 300 bucks. Totally reliable through the first 300 rounds of cheap Tulamo 9mms 115 gr n FMJ.

Finally decided to purchase the Hi Point 995ts from ukrguns. It was in my hands in four days. The price was better than any other gun store. I found sighting on target was a lot easier than my other higher dollar 9mm carbines. The 995 was a bit heaver than the other 9mm carbines, however weighing the 995 and comparing with an older .22 rifle, it was about the same weight as the .22, about 6.4 lbs. The feel was very good compared to my other 9mm carbines. The next thing I did was dissemble, clean and oil. That wasn’t as bad as I thought it may be, actually it was easy after watching a video. I noticed the bore….wow what a good set of rifling it has. After it was back together I used a lazer bore sight and was going to sight it in, I found the sights were spot on right out of the box, did not change the settings at all. After shooting targets on my own property, I found it to be accurate and no FTF, no FTE, no problems at all. It did shoot some steel case ammo that some of the other 9mm carbines wont shoot, happy about that. Everything that came with the 995ts works with no problems, the 20 round mags are fine, the sling fits as it should, the fore handle fits and works fine, the fore handle does have a small bit of wiggle, because it has a hinge and will fold up or down as needed. After shooting the afternoon away and comparing carbines, I have to say this Hi Point 995ts has the best feel and is more on target than my others. Funny thing, my neighbor told me I was crazy to purchase the Hi Point, now he got crazy and is look for him one. All I can say is this carbine is absolutely one of the best in my collection, that is comparing it to several high dollar and name brands that I personally own.

Frustrated at first cause first round would not load. I put pressure on bottom of mag with pinky which worked. After a couple mags, problem went away. Read sight had to be adjusted way left to zero in. After all that I do like the carbine. Had people at range asking about it.

Put 50 rounds of various ammo, including aluminum, through it today without a single hitch. Didn’t have to touch the sights since they were dead on at 50 yards out of the box. I am really going to enjoy this gun and it is already becoming my favorite long gun. Hi Point has a winner here and I am thinking about their .45 caliber cammo colored next.

The Hi-Point 995ts is a fantastic little carbine. I have put about 300 rounds through it, all ready, and I have had no gun related malfunctions. The only issues that have arisen, have been caused by one of the two RedBall 20rd magazines that came with the gun. One of them has difficulty feeding into the gun if there are more than 13rds in it. This gun also came with a foregrip and a sling. The foregrip is kinda sucky, as it wobbles a bunch and it’s not overly comfortable to hold. The sling is almost useless, as it is about 2′ too short to be used as a sling. The gun itself, though, is of good quality. It is fun to shoot and extremely accurate. I could shoot a 2″ group at 25 yards, right out of the box, hardly even trying.

The carbine is clunky, ugly, offers no pride of ownership and is completely reliable and fun to shoot. I took the stock off and swapped it into a High Tower Armory bullpup stock. The stock cost as much as the carbine but now it looks cool in addition to being totally reliable and fun to shoot. We all know looking cool is the most important factor anyway. The gun is a solid value and worth the price. Think hard about spending tons of money on accessories though, it is easy to spend one’s way into much more expensive territory. I clearly didn’t follow my own advice.

I purchased this rifle after reading many positive reviews. The first time I took the rifle out to shoot I experienced many failure to feed and jam issues and on this day I had two other very experienced shooters with me who ran the rifle and also experienced many failure to feed issues with both the ten round and twenty round magazines. I called Hi Point and returned the gun for repairs. I received the gun back and took it to the range and ran 250 rounds of ammo, I ran Sellier and Bellot, Fiocchi, Magtech, and Aguila and on this day I had nine failure to feed issues. I then took the gun to a local gun guy who builds and repairs guns and ask him to run the gun, he had first failure to feed on the second ten round mag. This gun guy took pictures of the failure to feed issues,the scarred cartridge in the failure to feed and also picture of how the magazines set in the gun. I called Hi Point and told the tech of the sames problems I was having with failure to feed properly and I could send him pictures. The tech told me he didn’t want the photos and there was nothing wrong with the gun and that the problem was operator error. WOW! I have been shooting firearms for over 50 years. Several very experienced guys ran this gun all having the same problems……9 failure to feed out of 250 rounds for me is excessive. I liked the gun, it was fun to shoot and accurate but the failure to feed is a problem. I do understand that with any manufactured product be it a auto,TV, computer, washing machine, pair of shoes or a firearm you can get a defective product. This Hi Point was defective and I cannot trust this gun. I returned this gun to Hi Point and received a full refund. I might add that the Hi Point personnel were polite and courteous.

Extremely happy with Hi Point 9mm Carbine. Package came with front grip, 10 round clip and 2 20 round clips. Fired several hundred rounds and ZERO ISSUES. A real enjoyment to fire. Put a Red Dot scope on and zeroed in. Also put a light on the front. Perfect package for home protection. Best bang for your buck in my opinion.

Well I’m pretty impressed. When I told the guys I work with I was getting a hi point they told me it was garbage and I had wasted my money. Well I took it out to the range today and grabbed some old crappy ammo and waited for a jam. It didn’t happen it ate everything I put in it. I was so happy. The 20 rd magazines are interesting they are a bit hard to load (maybe because they are new). The only problem I had was I ran out of ammo! So much fun to shoot!

We like everyone else between 2008 November until 2016 November I stock piled ammo . Well time came to rotate stock bought this 9mm hipoint to do so and have fun. Turns out I love this thing added red dot ect .and must say for people who dog a gun by its name shame on you very accurate and a blast to shoot .If you don’t own one you won’t regret buying one.

I have taken my Hi-Point Carbine out a few times now and have had a blast. I will say this. It came with a minor scratch, but nothing that I think had to do with ukrguns. I love the gun but have had issues sighting it in (noobie). One thing I also notices is that the bold for the slide can not be screwed all the way in or it will cause pressure scraping the paint. Secondly if it is not screwed in tight it can fly out and hit you in the face. I would say it was a GREAT $311 spent. All my mags work great I’m happy.

This little gun is very fun to shoot! I know it is a low cost gun, but the operation of it is flawless, has never jammed or malfunctioned in hundreds of rounds. It is also accurate, although I feel the iron sights (for me) are best if used under 75 yards. A++++++

The 20 round magazines are a bit awkward. They look like a boomerang, but they do function well. For the price you cannot beat it. Using the forward grip the weapon was very accurate at 20 yards right out of the box. Great weapon for plinking or homr defense
